Instructional Materials Review Home

The Texas Instructional Review (TIR) policy is a state-directed process designed to support school districts in evaluating and strengthening the quality of instruction, curriculum alignment, and overall classroom practices. Through structured campus visits, data analysis, and feedback sessions, TIR teams collaborate with educators to identify strengths, pinpoint gaps, and develop targeted action plans that promote improved student outcomes. The policy emphasizes continuous improvement, focusing on evidence-based instructional strategies, rigorous academic standards, and equitable learning experiences for all students. Ultimately, the Texas Instructional Review policy serves as a framework to ensure that schools receive the guidance and support needed to foster effective teaching and sustained academic growth.
